4 Keys to Writing a Successful Song Parody

This past weekend, our Sketch Comedy Writing students were assigned to write a parody of the song “Yesterday” by The Beatles. In just twenty minutes, each person came up with hilarious takes on this classic song that will hopefully be seen in a filmed sketch at some point. They were able to write these songs by applying these 4 simple keys:
