The Notorious Black Improv Group hits CSULB
Thursday, March 26, 2026 | 7pm - 8pm
The Notorious Black Improv Group, formed at The Playful Stage, brings bold, joyful, and dynamic improv to the Radical Hope Project’s Care Fair at CSULB. Through a mix of short and long form, the team celebrates Black joy while uplifting stories connected to queer, trans and non-binary, and immigrant communities, reflecting the lived experiences within their ensemble and the Long Beach community. Their performance centers laughter, resilience, and care, creating space for connection, visibility, and shared humanity.

What is the Radical Hope Project?
The Radical Hope Project is a student-driven initiative at California State
University Long Beach, using art and digital media to amplify voices of
resistance, foster unity, and inspire resilience in the face of adversity.
The Radical Hope Project is an artistic expression of resistance and resilience. It
unites the community through art, digital media, and poetry to foster equity,
diversity, and solidarity at CSULB and its surrounding communities. We aim to
grow this project over the next couple of years, with the hopes that it will
capture the voice and creativity of all students as they navigate their educational
journey at CSULB.
